Question: What evidence is there for the resurrection of Christ?

 Answer: The evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ turns out to be among the most solid evidence for any fact of history. There are many good reference books on this subject. One very scholarly treatment is The Historical Jesus by Gary Habermas. He outlines certain facts concerning Jesus that are believed by the majority of scholars, even those who are the most critical. Here are some of the facts listed: 

• The death of Jesus by crucifixion.
• The disciples’ experiences which they believed to be of the risen Christ.
• The transformation of the disciples into bold witnesses.
• The empty tomb.
• The resurrection was the central message of Christianity from the beginning of the Christian church.
• The Jewish leaders published no refutation of the resurrection.
• The very existence and growth of the Christian church.
• Sunday became the primary day of worship rather than Saturday.
• Two skeptics, James and Paul, became believers after reporting experiences of the risen Christ.[1]

 All these facts require explanations. And the alternative naturalistic explanations proposed have failed.
